Hello Middleton families! I apologize for the delayed update, but last week flew by with our early release, teacher workshop, and day off! I hope you all had a restful weekend and enjoyed quality time together at home. Last week we explored the book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, which students thought was a very funny name! We read the book several times and had lots of different alphabet and letter exploration activities. We also made lots of new decorations for our classroom including alphabet palm trees and posters about the number of letters in our names.
I was able to talk to most families during parent teacher conferences, so thank you for taking time out of your busy lives to meet with me. I love hearing what your children tell you about school and how things are different/the same at home. Please always feel free to keep me updated on how things are going and anything you might need from me. Just another reminder that as the weather gets colder, we are still spending time outside! Please send in a hat, mittens/gloves, jacket, scarf, snow boots, and snow pants with your child in the case of a snowy day. If you would like to keep a set of snow clothes at school, I have plenty of room to store them so there isn't a chance of them being forgotten! I know many students were feeling cold during recess today so we made it a quick play time! If anyone is looking to help out with donations to our classroom, something I am in need of is hand soap for the bathroom and sink (many of our little ones cannot reach the wall soap dispensers) and baby wipes, for those little messes that our paper towels just can't quite handle! Stay warm and have a wonderful night! :) Ms. McKay
